Stephanie Cooper, LPC (she/her)
Marketing and Community Outreach Team Lead
I help stressed out teens and student-athletes manage perfectionism, build a healthy sense of self, and increase confidence in the big decisions they are making.
How I work
As a former DIII athlete, I love supporting high school and college level student athletes. Many of my clients are some kind of performer, high achiever, and/or perfectionist and often describe themselves as feeling stressed, anxious, and tired. I am passionate about providing a space for my clients to truly sit with their feelings, challenge behaviors and create actionable steps to meet their goals. Something you might hear me say regularly in session is “What’s another possibility?” or “Fine stands for feelings inside not expressed.”
My Education & Trainings
I graduated with my Master’s of Arts In Mental Health Counseling in 2020 from Arcadia University and prior to that, I attended Ursinus College where I was also a member of the field hockey team that played in the NCAA Final Four! I work with a CBT lens, as well as incorporate solution-focused techniques and motivational interviewing into sessions. This allows me to help clients identify unhelpful thoughts and not only change them to be more accurate, but also increase overall self-esteem when working to achieve goals. Additionally, I am a certified grief counselor.
The relationship with your therapist is a large part of your success. Here’s more about me!
You can find me at an early morning workout class like HIIT, pilates or yoga then running to get any kind of peanut butter and banana smoothie. Once an athlete, always an athlete, right?! When I’m not at the gym, you can find me under a cozy blanket watching anything on Bravo. My favorite place in the world is Longboat Key, FL. where I stroll the sand dollar filled shoreline every morning, but a three hour horse ride through Yellowstone has my heart. I’m also a huge dog lover and will definitely ask you about your pets. Yes, I want to see pictures, too! I am so grateful to share the room with each one of my clients and yes, we can go for walks during our session, color, use the whiteboard or anything you feel like would be helpful.
Working With Me
I offer sessions both virtually and out of the Jenkintown, PA office. I am available for sessions Mondays through Thursdays, during early afternoon and evening hours. Individual 50-minute sessions are offered at a rate of $185.
