Kellie Foxx-Gonzalez, MSW, LCSW (she/they)
I help children and teens who engage in self-harming behaviors find healthier ways to cope with big emotions.
How I work
My work is grounded in both psychodynamic psychotherapy and play therapy. Working psychodynamically means building a supportive relationship where we can look at patterns of behavior you may want to change, together. Play therapy can help express thoughts and feelings that are difficult to put into words and can increase your ability to creatively respond to life’s challenges. Something you may hear me say in session is “Progress not perfection”.
My Education & Trainings
I graduated with my Master’s of Social Work from Boston College in 2023. Prior to that, I attended Columbia University and earned my bachelor’s degree in gender and sexuality studies. In addition to my work at CFE, I am a crisis clinician who is comfortable working with children and teens who have been identified as "high risk" and engage in self harming behaviors.
The relationship with your therapist is a large part of your success. Here’s more about me!
I grew up in sunny South Florida but I love living in Massachusetts because fall and winter are my favorite seasons! My favorite way to relax is by playing video games like World of Warcraft and Elden Ring. I’m also a big horror and sci fi movie and book enthusiast.
Working With Me
I offer sessions both virtually and out of the Wellesley, MA office. I am available for sessions during early afternoon and evening hours. Individual 50-minute sessions are offered at a rate of $220.
