Jaclyn Gray, LCSW (she/her)
I help my clients increase self-esteem and learn to feel confident managing big emotions related to anxiety, depression, and trauma.
How I work
I am honored to support children, adolescents and adults that struggle with anxiety, depression, have experienced trauma and want a safe space to work through challenges. I operate from a trauma informed and family systems perspective while implementing DBT concepts and principles into my work with families. We feel a strong therapeutic relationship is a key factor for receiving positive outcomes and I prioritize this in my work with clients. I believe the growth happens when we create a safe and playful space to express and be vulnerable while learning and practicing skills to use out in the world. Something you may hear me say in session is “Can I challenge you a big?” or “What’s one thing you did well?”
My Education & Trainings
I graduated from Endicott College with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology then attended Simmons College (now Simmons University) to receive my Master’s of Social Work. Using art therapy, movement and CBT, I help clients realize they are ready for change, and hold the power to make those changes. believe in themselves and take steps forward.
The relationship with your therapist is a large part of your success. Here’s more about me!
Outside of the office, you can find me walking the dog, trying out new coffee shops and fulfilling my aunt duties. I am a lover of the beach, nature, and good food. Movement and music are my favorite ways to ground myself. I especially love lifting weights, soccer, the trampoline and dancing! I love summer but can embrace the Fall and Winter months with the help of skiing, hot chocolate and cozy blankets by the fire (or space heater). While I am outgoing and social, I look forward to recharging at home with a book or podcast and paint by numbers. Cooking and celebrating special moments with family and friends is important to me. I deeply value my relationships and those moments and I feel grateful to have such support in my life.
