Aubri Smith, Graduate level intern (they/them)
I help children build their self-esteem when they feel they are struggling to fit in, as well as help them grow into the best versions of themselves.
How I work
I specialize in helping kids, teens, and emerging adults navigate their identity and mental wellness through understanding oneself and others around them. My form of therapy is collaborative, creative, and takes into account that each client's experience is unique. I value understanding one’s social , cultural, psychological , biological , and environmental contexts that make up who you are and who you want to become. Something you may hear me say in session is "“What would you say to a friend who is going through this?”
My Education & Trainings
I am currently pursuing my Master’s of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a focus in social justice. Prior to graduate school, I attended University of North Texas. Using art therapy, CBT, DBT, and person-centered approaches, I am able to assist my neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients feel heard, supported and validated. This also allows me to help them build confidence and accomplish their goals.
The relationship with your therapist is a large part of your success. Here’s more about me!
In addition to being a counselor I am also a therapeutic riding instructor (aka a horseback riding coach for people of all abilities). I love teaching and seeing the impact that horses have on one’s physical, emotional, and mental well-being. I think animals of all kinds are absolutely amazing! I have two cats of my own, Artemis and Cloud, who are my world. In my free time I love to make art of various varieties, read books, listen to podcasts, and go on hikes. I have a crystal and rock collection, I love to drink tea, and am on a journey to learn more about gardening. I feel the most grounded when I'm spending time with others I care for or exploring the outdoors.

I offer sessions both virtually and out of the Jenkintown, PA office. I am available for sessions Wednesday through Friday during early afternoon and evening hours. Individual 50-minute sessions are offered at a rate of $185. I also support our Low Fee Program.
