Julette Moore, Graduate Level Clinical Intern (she/her)
I help children and teens navigate challenging experiences, build self-confidence, and learn how to communicate their emotions effectively.
How I work
Navigating changes in life that come with varied challenges can sometimes feel complex and overwhelming. Different transitions within school, family, relationships, and the social environment can leave you feeling anxious, despairing, sad, unsafe, or depressed. I support school-age children (ages 6-17) who are faced with transitional challenges such as social anxiety, behavioral disorders, bullying, discrimination, neurodiversity, and depression. I can help you develop self-compassion and self-confidence, tackle negative thoughts and beliefs, learn the art of effectively communicating your emotions and thoughts, and allocate resources to help alleviate distress. You will have a secure space and a nonjudgmental ear that listens to your goals. Something you may hear me say in session is,“You’re doing your best, and your best is good enough.”
My Education & Trainings
I completed my undergraduate degree at Lesley University, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s of Social Work there. Research on human behavior, social policies, diversity, and social justice helps fuel my passion for helping others (particularly young children and teens). Prior to this work, I had the opportunity to provide a safe, nurturing, and secure environment for children in a variety of settings. This experience allows me to provide empathy and understanding towards my clients and work with them to alleviate anxious thoughts.
The relationship with your therapist is a large part of your success. Here’s more about me!
I am an immigrant from the beautiful island of Jamaica. During my teen years, I loved hiking, biking, and teaching my friends Math. I still enjoy these activities and always “dragging” my daughter on excursions. When I am not zip-lining or kayaking, I am listening to my favorite books on Audible, volunteering at community events, or spending time with family (especially when we have our family video group chats). Fun facts about me are I love playing board games, I love having conversations with toddlers (the funniest things they would say), and I do not like eating mushrooms.
Working With Me
I offer sessions both virtually and out of the Wellesley, MA office. I am available for sessions Mondays and Thursdays during early afternoon and evening hours. Individual 50-minute sessions are offered at a rate of $220. I also support our Low Fee Program.
